Jennifer DeLia is the writer, producer and director of the film \"Why Not Choose Love? A Mary Pickford Manifesto\". The film portrays the life of Mary Pickford in a new and unconventional fashion by going deep into her psyche and life story. Pickford was first known as “The Girl with the Curls” and later became the first \"America\'s Sweetheart,\" co-founder of United Artists and the only businesswoman in early Hollywood.
Jennifer has also created a podcast chat series called Humanizing the Icon to uncover global leaders\' and artists\' perspectives on Identity, Image and Iconization, exploring the danger and beauty of the current zeitgeist. She sits down with creative visionaries like director Adam Schomer, DJ Whoo Kid, Ben Stewart, Sean Stone and actor, writer and director Yolonda Ross to deconstruct who they are behind their revered artistic work.
Jennifer also wrote, directed and produced the feature film “Billy Bates,” which played at the Tribeca Film Festival, among other festivals and showcases. In 2014, the film was released digitally nationwide with theatrical releases across 10 major cities. Additionally, she directed an off-Broadway show written by Scott Organ called “Phoenix,” starring Julia Stiles and James Wirt. Jennifer has directed many music videos with acclaimed artists such as Amadou & Mariam featuring Kyp & Tunde of TV on the Radio, Ebony Bones, Esseri, Blinddog Smokin\' and musical legends Dr. John and Bobby Rush.
